The EcoVillage at The Kent County Fair

 

 

 

Kent based events organiser, The EcoVillage, made its debut at the Kent County Fair, The Hops Farm, Paddock Hill on 1, 2 and 3rd May. The dedicated exhibition area featured ‘green’ exhibitors, interactive displays and demonstrations.  

The EcoVillage is designed to sit within large scale mainstream events such as The Kent County Fair and helps organisations promote green products, services and initiatives.

The County Fair was a mixture of retail, activities and demonstrations.  Along side The EcoVillage, there was terrier racing, ferret racing, dog shows, a food hall, retail stands and tank and quad bike rides.

There was lots of interest in The EcoVillage; the team were on hand to give out advice and information about creating a greener lifestyle, promoting the green business directory, The Book of Green and ink cartridge recycling by Recycle 4 U. For the children, there was a paper pod pyramid to colour and reusable bags for sale in aid for Kent Wildlife Trust.

There was a wide range of exhibitors at The EcoVillage from Euro Flames, stylish wood burners and cookers, to Riverford Organics, the organic veg box company. Wildlife specialist; Kent Wildlife Trust, Wild Thing Wildlife Consultants, Snapper Vet and Animal Days Out.

Clothing, bags and jewellery from Underdogs, Pickled Green Clothing, MamaCha, Underdog and Something Different to Wear.

Beautiful crafted furniture by Rustic Summer House Company and English Oak Designs.

Organic cotton bedding by Fairly Covered, environmentally friendly cosmetics and household products from Wikaniko, alternative energy by Eternal Energy and electric bikes and scooters by Lean Machines.
