IGNES is a stunning range of accessories made in Uruguay, founded by sister and brother, Maria and Ignacio. Fusing together the cosmopolitan styling of Europe with unique quality-led South American leathers, and a socially responsible edge, brings to life this covertable label.
IGNES was selected winner of the Most Socially Responsible brand at the Handbag Designer Awards in New York in 2007. The company uses leathers that are by-products of the meat industry, from animals bred in free-range farms or South American estancias. Each IGNES product is created by the company's own team of artisans, working under good conditions, earning good salaries. IGNES is committed to providing advancement opportunities for its artisans, as well as supporting the community by (for example) donating to a local children's orphanage.
