The Barn Vegan Guest House

'The Barn' is an exclusively vegan guest house set in the beautiful New Forest National Park. We have the perfect base to explore this unique part of the country.

Sandra and Richard Barnett established 'The Barn' to provide quality accommodation for those seeking a holiday with a light eco-footprint. We offer three course evening meals with menus tailored to the individual requirements of our guests. All our food is freshly prepared using a mixture of organic, fairtrade and/or locally produced ingredients.

The house is situated within five minutes' easy walk of the forest. We are striving to limit our environmental impact by using solar power (for hot water and electricity) and eco-friendly washing/cleaning products. We offer discounts to guests arriving by public transport.

The Barn was awarded 'Best Vegan Accommodation 2008' by the Vegan Society

Ethical and Environmental Policy

The main aim of The Barn is to provide quality accommodation for vegetarians and vegans while limiting our environmental impact as much as possible. Our photovoltaic solar system gives us almost all our electricity and we have solar powered hot water in the summer months.

We buy organic, fairtrade and/or local produce.

Our pricing policy is designed to be within the reach of as many people as possible. We give discounts to guests arriving by public transport and to those belonging to most of the main veggie/vegan/animal organisations.

We believe our whole business runs along ethical lines (although there is always room for improvement!)
