Animal Tails
Animal Tails produces brightly coloured and fashionable children's wear. All our clothing is certified as organic and ethical under Global Organic Textile standard (GOTS). We are also licenced by the Soil Association.
All our designs are inspired by the natural world and particularly by endangered species. Each of our garments comes with a unique story label written by the Animal Tails Team telling fun and amazing facts about the endangered species featured.
We give 1% of our turnover to organisations that seek to protect endangered species.
Ethical and Environmental Policy
Animal Tails will aways source fabrics that have been made from fairly traded yarns. We will only source fabrics that meet the Global Organic Textile Standard. The Global Organic Textile Standard has incorporated within it a social criteria, therefore ensuring that the fabric is maufactured in factories that have excellent labour standards. All our silk screen printing meets not only the highest design and fashion standards, but also organic standards.
The whole premise of our business is that we operate in a manner that is socially and environmentally responsible, all our manufacturing is ethical, and independently audited that it is. We also only use certified organic textiles and actively seek to ensure all packaging is recyclable.
We also seek to educate in a gentle way the problems as a result of the destruction of our environment caused by human activity, primarily resulting in the loss and potential loss of many animal species.
We hope that by promoting care for the global environment and trading in an ethical manner that we are going beyond stating that we promote equality of opportunity, diversity and challenging discrimination. We believe that when we trade in a fair and ethical manner, and use organic textiles, that we are improving the livelihoods of all people, but most particularly vulnerable garment workers.
