BasketBasket are suppliers of fair trade handmade French style couffin shopping baskets and African market baskets - an attractive, environmentally friendly alternative to plastic bags, with a wide variety of other uses.
Our baskets are sturdy and hard wearing, offering years of use and excellent value for money. From lightweight couffin baskets to robust reed carriers, we offer something for all tastes.
Ideal for all types of shopping, BasketBasket products are also used for the beach, picnics, laundry, household storage and much more. They make excellent gifts, although most of our customers like to keep a basket or two for themselves!
Ethical and Environmental Policy
We only buy our baskets and giraffes from companies and individuals who do not use child labour and provide a fair trade wage with decent working conditions for their employees.
When posting our baskets, we try to make all our packaging 100% recyclable and use biodegradable bubble wrap with recyclable brown paper. The tape is water-based acrylic adhesive which is also better for the environment.
Our baskets mainly come via road and sea, but occasionally some have to come via air. To offset this carbon we are members of the Woodland Trust who create new woods throughout the UK to help protect our environment.
