Ethical and Environmental Policy

We believe in helping our clients achieve a sustainable lifestyle, in which our Studios help them to find a better balance between work and home-life.

Our professional aim is to share our delight for outdoor living whilst making a positive contribution to society, improving our clients’ lifestyles and, for the majority of our home-working clients, removing unnecessary commuting journeys from our roads and thereby reducing carbon emissions.

Furthermore, we have always strived to employ the most sustainable building technologies in the designs of our Studios and ensure that we use construction materials responsibly as well as minimising the long-term impact of our garden rooms. For more details, please review our eco pages.

We are committed to being responsible corporate citizens, contributing as much as we can to our planet, rather than taking away from it.

We are committed firstly to our staff, to ensure that they are well respected and acknowledged for their hard work and commitment as our partners in this business.

Secondly, we want to encourage our staff and clients to join with us in supporting sustainable projects in developing countries, to help them to help themselves. We support sustainable development projects in Honduras and Burundi, Central Africa and contribute funds on a regular basis and will report on progress on a regular basis through our website.

We also support environmental projects here in the UK, through our day-to-day contributions to the Woodland Trust’s Plant-a-Tree campaign, to promote wider enjoyment of outdoor spaces whilst also restoring natural habitats, replenishing native tree stocks and thereby reducing our society’s carbon footprint.

In the last 12 months we have contributed over £8000 as a direct result of our customer projects.
