Ethical and Environmental Policy
As a multi national company we feel it is important for us to set a good example to other companies and individuals around us. We spend a lot of money, time and effort each year to speak out in favour of our business practices which help those around us. Each year we spend over 1000 combined working hours in raising funds and awareness for local charities and organisations. We feel it is important to give back to the society that has helped us grow.
UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL COMPACT
In a concerted effort to help the people and world around us, Olympus Wealth Management are applicants of the United Nations Global Compact. We adhere to the ten principles set out by the United Nations and continually work towards the upkeep of such. The UN Global Compact's ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption enjoy universal consensus and are derived from:

•The Rio Declaration on Environment and Development
•The United Nations Convention Against Corruption The UN Global Compact asks companies to embrace, support and enact, within their sphere of influence, a set of core values in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption: Human Rights
•Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
•Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses. Labour
•Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
•Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
•Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and

•Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
•Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and

In addition we fully support the World Wildlife Federation and we encourage our clients to do so also. WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive together. Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked. That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources. CARBON NEUTRAL
As part of our dedication to helping the people and planet around us, Olympus Wealth Management are a Carbon Neurtal company. We purchase Swiss Gold Standard Carbon Credits to offset all GHG's we cause through our business. A carbon credit is a generic term for any tradable certificate or permit representing the right to emit one tonne of carbon dioxide or the mass of another greenhouse gas with a carbon dioxide equivalent equivalent to one tonne of carbon dioxi. Carbon credits and carbon markets are a component of national and international attempts to mitigate the growth in concentrations of greenhouse gases (GHGs). One carbon credit is equal to one metric tonne of carbon dioxide, or in some markets, carbon dioxide equivalent gases. Carbon trading is an application of an emissions trading approach.
