Rapanui Clothing
Rapanui is about making cool eco-fashion for young people; that means clothing that is eco-friendly, ethical and sustainable. We make clothing from natural organic fabrics in a Fair Wear Foundation audited, wind powered factory, but really what we're about is communication - it's not that people don't care about child labour, the environment, our climate, it's just they don't know. At Rapanui we make it easier for people to see where clothing comes from and how it is made so they can make informed choices. It's called Traceability.

Ethical and Environmental Policy
The majority of our eco fashion range comes from India, and we use quite a famous factory there which is powered by Vestas wind turbines via a wholesale power purchase agreement at the factory. The factories subscribe to Fair Wear Foundation's Code of Labour Practices, meaning that everyone in the factory gets a fair wage and clean working conditions. Down the road is the organic cotton plantation, the fields are hand worked, then the cotton is put on a camel and goes up to the factory, there it is spun and turned into a jersey. Then it is embroidered and put into a container on a truck. We never air freight stock so we ship it to London
