Tiny Teas also supports a Kenyan charity put a comprehensive and sustainable community structure in place that offers street children and youth in Kawangware Slums an alternative to street life that enables them to integrate back into mainstream society.
Ethical and Environmental Policy
We regard Ethical Trading as central to what we do here at Tiny Teas. We believe in three main core values that define our company's ethos:
People: Tiny Teas aims to assist Kawangware Street Children & Youth Project put a comprehensive and sustainable community structure in place that offers street children, youth & widowed women in Kawangware slums ( Kenya) an alternative to street life that enables them to integrate back into mainstream society.
Furthermore, where possible, all our tea is sourced and packed by FairTrade and/or Ethical Tea Partnership certified suppliers.
Planet: Our packaging is made from 100% recycled material and is hand made by the youth project. We endeavour to enforce a green and environmentally friendly working atmosphere in all we do.
Virtually all the cardboard boxes we use are second-hand. We collect them from nearby business and re-use them to pack our website, retail and wholesale orders.
To save paper, we endeavour to keep all our communications and invoicing electronic and avoid printing unnecessarily.
All our promotional and marketing materials, as well as our business cards are printed on 100% recycled pulp.
We use minimalistic packaging and keep away from plastics where possible.
Product: We provide a range of specialty loose leaf teas from the world over. Our carefully selected range of teas contains no artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives. We prefer to keep our products as nature intended them to be, free from artificial nasties!
