Ethical and Environmental Policy
The Building Conservation Works Dept (worksdept) have a strong ethical policy that is an extension of our personal views and which we believe makes us a better company. We are a division of Exposure Surveying Ltd who undertake scientific investigations into timber decay and other damp related building defects. The Works dept now put into practice the philosophies that Exposure Surveying Ltd preach. In order to conserve often historic material, we accept that it is sometimes necessary for the targeted use of biocides and fungicides, however, we vociferously campaign against the incautious use of chemicals in the building industry. Our approach brings massive benefits to your projects where you can expect the same level of expertise and professionalism from the diagnosis through to the resolution of defects.
We are transparent in every aspect of our business, with no hidden agendas, only representing the best interests of the client, the building and its users.
We are passionate about conserving both the built and natural environment,
which are so entwined in the essence of our daily life.
We promote the virtues of utilising tradition and sympathetic building materials and crafts to resolve building defects.
We believe our built heritage is one of the nations greatest assets, which should be protected for the enjoyment and eduction of future generations, which is why we are proud to play our little part in its conservation.
