Ethical and Environmental Policy

Auro paints act responsibly both as a manufacturer and distributor of natural paints. We use solar enery, and rain harvesting as well as organically grown linseed oils in manufacture in Braunschweig, this dramatically reduces the CO2 emmissions in the factory. We offset further emmissions through The Climate Neutral Group to make us an accredited CO2 neutral company. We use all recycled packaging for distribution from the UK including cornstarch biofill as filler material. Company cars run on biodiesel or are hybrid electric. We sponsor local community resource centres who take old used paint pots for reuse and make annual donations to Tree Aid. Our new ecobuild has the AECB Gold standard for energy efficiency.
All raw ingredients are sourced from socially responsible producers and where possible we opt for fair trade organisations. We fully declare all of our ingredients both on our tins and on our tech sheets, all of which are downloadable from our website.
We operate fair and safe working practices at our distribution plant in Gloucestershire and do not tolerate discrimiantion based on race, religeon or gender.
We are founding members of the Association of Natural Paint and Wood finishes, we hope this this body will act as a way of and combining resources and information of other approved natural paint distributors in the UK.
