For over 30 years Beauty Without Cruelty has led the way in cruelty free cosmetics. We operate a company wide fixed cut off date and are fully compliant with BUAV requirements.
All Beauty Without Cruelty products are:
- 100% suitable for vegans and vegetarians
- completely cruelty free and comply with our fixed cut-off date
- caring for environment by using recycled materials where possible and finding methods of sourcing which minimize our footprint on our planet
We use natural pure ingredients and our products are considered one of the most successful for sensitive skin, being hypoallergenic and fragrance free throughout.
Ethical Policy
For over 30 years, Beauty Without Cruelty have specialised in producing high quality, affordable cosmetics, which are animal compassionate. We avoid cruelly derived animal substances, including any slaughterhouse or fishing industry by-products. All our cosmetics are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and are fragrance free. Our nail colours are all toluene, formaldehyde and pthalate free.
There is today very little testing of finished products on animals. Animals are, however, still used to meet the regulatory safety evaluations of new ingredients; the testing is usually undertaken by the primary producer of new substances, not cosmetic companies. Because many cosmetics companies demand new ingredients, and because they do not test directly, there is a real danger that the animals used in this way will be forgotten.
All cosmetic ingredients, have in the past been tested on animals. We cannot change the past but we can influence the future. To avoid perpetuating the need for animal testing Beauty Without Cruelty and its suppliers have not carried out or commissioned animal testing of ingredients after a fixed cut off date of 1996.
All Beauty Without Cruetly formulations are therefore drawn out from long established ingredients, historically known to be safe, and not necessitating animal tests in development or on the finished product.
