Ethical and Environmental Policy

We are a new startup company founded to proactively market energy-saving and energy-generating technologies that will help people to make a demonstrable reduction in their personal CO2 impacts. We will only promote products that will contribute toward Climate Change alleviation. We offer independent product comparisons, and lots of free information relating to the above topic area. We also sell the best of the products directly by mail order and an online catalogue, aiming to gain, and pass on discounts to make energy saving and home generation easy and affordable to the majority rather than the minority.

Founded by two graduates of Forum for the Future's Leadership for Sustainable Development masters programme, we have a strong vision of the ethical position we what want the company to take, which certainly would embrace all of the above principles as a minimum.

Obviously as a start-up we do not yet have the capacity to fully audit our supply chains or develop fully comprehensive equal opportunities employment policies (we have no employees apart from ourselves currently). But these are all things we support and will look to develop more formally as our business grows in size.

Part of our early strategy will be to be very transparent in our business practices - bringing a warts-and-all approach to saying what we have achieved, and what we are working on. For example, we will always aim to minimise the CO2 impacts of our business, but if, for example, we felt we had to take a flight for business purposes, we would firstly investigate alternatives, and if unavoidable we would offset the CO2 emissions with an organisation such as ClimateCare.
