Created as part of The Natural Fibre Company, Blacker Designs offers a collection of beautiful, authentic woollen products and an exclusive range knitting yarns. For over 20 years The Natural Fibre Company has taken fleece from British breeds from specialist flocks and using traditional processes, spun it into high quality yarns to return to its customers. As The Natural Fibre Company adds value to the fleece, the producer has a greater income which helps these rare breeds survive. We have a deep understanding and respect for the sustainability of wool and its many benefits and qualities and work with farmers, specialist breed societies and local communities. This enables us to support British farming, care for the environment and protect the long-term future of rare and regional breeds. Blacker Designs buys raw wool, mohair and alpaca from these producers and has developed its own collection of products, all designed, sourced and spun in Cornwall. As well as knitting wool, we also use the fleece to make a selection of blankets, throws, cushions, scarves and shawls, all in limited editions, unique and each with its own authentication certificate. We believe in creating things to last and our naturally produced range will provide you with classical pieces for your home and garden, elegant items to wear and thoughtful gifts that will last a lifetime.
