The range:
Barbus barbus (4.6%): straw coloured with malt, hop resins and a powerful hint of freshly-peeled apples on the nose. Peppery and spicy hops - burst across the tongue, balanced by rich grain, tart fruit and a hint of ginger. Intensely bitter and hoppy finish but it’s also spicy, fruity and wonderfully refreshing.
Blackguard Porter (4.5%): Very dark in colour, rich deep ruby. In the nose is immediate burnt tar or asphalt with the impression of a powdery chocolate or cocoa powder, plus some plummy fruit. In the mouth it is dry with the cocoa and chocolate alongside slightly vinous malt. Dark fruit in abundance. Bitter, dry and moreish aftertaste.
Golden Brown (5.0%): For Stranglers fans, hence the use of one of their song titles for this beer’s name. Lyrics also include ‘tied to a mast’, which explains the label. The beer contains three different malts and just one hop strain. Obviously potent with a slight spiciness from the hop variety. A rich flavoursome brew with strong malty flavours as a result of blending 3 different premium quality malt types.
Le Butts Biere (5.0%): Brewed with lager yeast and hops resulting in a crisp and refreshing European style biere.
Coper (6.0%): This celebratory offering is brewed using a variety of speciality malts to compliment two classic hop varieties, fuggles and goldings, all of which are farmed organically. A Coper is a ship employed in surreptitiously supplying strong drink to deep sea fishermen
