Conscious Elegance creates beautiful eco-friendly wedding gowns and bridal wear using only 100% certified organic and sustainable materials and methods, all made-to-measure and manufactured completely in the USA. Even our garment labels are sewn on certified organic cotton and our buttons are carved from tagua ('vegetable ivory') nutshells, the sale of which supports rain forest preservation. The company strives for 100% sustainability, from the fabrics to the recycled packaging materials. No sweatshops exist here and CE sources from other small green businesses, especially those that support work-at-home mums.

For our DIY clients and eco-designers, we offer sustainable hemp/silk and organic cotton by the metre or yard with only a 1m or yd minimum.

To offer best value, CE creates children's clothing from their client's bridal gowns at no extra charge. Our creations are machine and hand washable and can be re-used as each child comes along. It’s a wonderful way to recycle! Since our fabrics are free of chemical treatments, they pose a great benefit to both you and your child. Designer and director Lori Del Genis says, 'We don't promote a one-time use for our gowns. Our creations can live beyond the wedding day. Since we've found that most of our younger clients love their dresses too much to want to take them off, we think that we're onto something.'

CE has a charity policy of donating 3% of our annual gross income to humanitarian and environmentally-supportive charities and donate our gowns to charity auctions. We are active in educating the local community on the value of environmental sustainability though public lectures and work with local student groups.
