Ethical Policy
Eco Flowers was founded to cater for a growing demand for natural and ethically sourced flowers. Our aim is to improve the quality of flower farm working conditions, minimize damage to ecosystems, conserve biodiversity and enhance environmental quality for future generations.
We source flowers from our registered florist network, organic or in transition to organic flower farms in England including the Channel Isles and FFP approved producers who implement social and environmental standards in flower production, thereby giving our customers a choice. We are also members of Fair Flowers Fair Plants (FFP) and the Flowers & Plants Association.
All the flower suppliers have to fulfil the following criteria:
- Responsibility for the handling of natural resources in the cultivation of flowers.
- No Air Miles used, avoiding the hidden impact of air transport emmisions.
- A Ban on child or forced labour.
- A total ban on toxic pesticides which cause damage to people and the environment.
- Protection of the environment.
