Ethical Policy

As a business committed to providing goods and services with an ethical and environmental benefit, it is extremely important to us that we implement and maintain the same high standards as our partner companies both in the products we sell and the businesses we promote in the directory. Our aim is to always look at how we can improve our social and environmental practices in all areas of our business and to encourage our suppliers and individuals to do the same.

When we are looking at new products, we judge them on there suitability for our site and take into account weather they are:

• Energy Saving
• Recyclable
• Biodegradable / Degradable
• Recycled
• From Sustainable Sources
• Re-usable
• Organic
• Fair trade
• Utilities Saving (i.e. Water, Gas, Oil etc)

We also believe it is important to not only focus on the ethical and environmental impact of the products but also the impact of the distribution network from manufacturer to customer and we do aim to minimise this by implementing the following as much as possible:

• Low Transportation Miles – We ask our suppliers to use couriers who are eco friendly and the same applies to our shipping network.
• Low Carbon Footprint – We offset the emission we produce from our day to day running of the business weather it is our electricity supply or our staffs transport emission to work, we aim to keep our company carbon neutral and encourage those we deal with to do the same!
• Recycled Packaging – As much as possible, we only use recycled packaging and stationary for sending out our packages and we ask our suppliers to do the same allowing us to reuse the packaging the goods were sent to us in the first place.
