Frugal Cool showcases ethical designers and makers working in and around Musselburgh. We promote sustainability and excellent design.
We value our community and provide opportunities to improve and share skills, experiment and inspire interest of craft and creative design.
We support eco-living, and will share our learning about green issues and products.
Our designers make ethical commitments about design and manufacture.
With growing interest in inventive and quality eco-design, we want to:
- encourage buying decisions that consider the environment
- promote "buy local"
- sell products which are meant to be kept and valued
- support and develop the community
- provide ethical marketing support
We donate 5% of profits to charity.
Ethical and Environmental Policy
Frugal Cool promotes and sells well-made products which contain an element of sustainable design, and are ethically produced. Resources and materials can be,
• recycled, revamped and recyclable
• organic
• non-toxic
• handmade
• cruelty-free
• fairly traded
• low energy in production and use
• designed to be practical and/or enhance wellbeing
• locally sourced and made
