Ethical and Environmental Policy

Actively demonstrate care for the environment:

We run an organic garden and use the produce for our skincare. If we cannot supply a particular ingredient ourselves then we buy from sources we have checked out as responsible and ethical suppliers.

We bottle our produce in glass containers, or aluminium containers, both of which are recyclable.

Support responsible, fair and sustainable trading practices:

We buy from reputable suppliers. If we import anything from beyond EU boundaries we ask for ethical statements and commitments from companies before we buy.

Avoid business practices causing long term damage for short term gain:

We take care to package our goods in recyclable materials. We use cardboard and paperfill for postage materials. We only use plastics and artificial parcel fill if they have come to us in sent goods.

Our printers are members of Ethical Junction. We always try to choose environmentally--sound stationery and office equipment.

Operate non-exploitative employment practices and demand the same from suppliers:

We are a very small company but we are aware of non-exploitative employment practices. We try to act fairly and justly at all times. We pay well above minimum hourly rates. We reward anyone who works more than their allotted hours. We would not use suppliers we suspected of having bad employment procedures and practices.

Promote equality of opportunity, diversity and challenge discrimination:

We are a very small company run by an ethnically-diverse family. We actively challenge any and all discimination wherever we find it.

Act in a socially responsible manner:

Our business is about personal health; we research carefully; we produce goods only in conjunction with suitably and fully qualified people. We do not and would not use any ingredient suspected of, or proven to be, harmful in any way, to human health.

We believe firmly in openness and honesty in all our dealings.
We are a young business but we try to benefit charities. We intend to set up a system of offering part of any profit to charitable institutions that comply with our own commitment to ethical behaviour and environmentally sound practices.
