Habitat Aid Ltd.
HAL is partly an online retailer selling mostly trees, plants and seeds sourced from small scale suppliers who often have a limited or no e-commerce operation themselves. Half our profits from online sales go to partner charities, which are linked to specific products. This doesn't just help them financially, but also helps convey key messages. We also work with charities to develop new products, which we then supply and for which we find retail partners.
We have a network of consultants in areas like garden design, green roofs, swimming ponds, and meadow and wetland projects, who we recommend to clients and landscape professionals to advise, design, or project manage. We then supply the plants for these schemes. We host specialist courses aimed at these professionals, encouraging them to incorporate features like meadows and wildlife ponds in their designs.

Ethical and Environmental Policy
Habitat Aid (“HAL”) has a unique social business model, which benefits the environment, conservation charities, and small specialist nurseries and other suppliers. We hope to persuade and enable folk to at least partly recreate or replace key habitats like meadows, wetlands, orchards and woodland. The loss of these habitats has been a major cause of the continuing decline of a wide range of native British fauna.
