My work is grounded in the reportage style, focusing on capturing expression, movement and the essentially human nature of the events I photograph.
I love the immediacy and intimacy of the stolen moment, the textures and expressions of genuine emotion, but I also love Photoshop too.
This combination of photographic and digital skill means that I can not only capture the sparkle in your eye but I can take the pimple (or wrinkle) off your cheek too! Contrary to the expectations of telesales people, I am neither Norwegian nor male. I love tea.
Ethical and Environmental Policy
I've thought long and hard about introducing my love of all things green to Han Edwards Photography. After all, weddings are times of luxury with lush fabrics, hot-house flowers and exotic detail, not a time to get hair-shirt and dowdy. Could wedding photography ever aspire to be eco-friendly?
I was quite determined it could, so after a lot of research I found suppliers and solutions that help me (and you) to have a greener time of it without compromising a whit of style or breaking the bank:
* Recycled paper and packaging - all the stationery, business cards, postcards and packaging used by Han Edwards photography is now recycled.
* Handmade and recycled wedding albums - I'm one of a handful of UK wedding photographers to offer the range of eco-friendly handmade wedding albums by Wild Magnolia. With peace silk and hemp cover options they're even suitable for vegetarians! Find out more...
*Eco-friendly wall art - From canvases to ornate frames all of our wall art now comes from a green-conscious supplier.
*Digital workflow - My office processes are digital where ever possible to cut down on paper waste and unnecessary postage.
*Carbon off-setting - All of my business related travel is carbon off-set by eForests, a not for profit company that works to reduce carbon emissions within the UK.
I still have areas to work on to make Han Edwards Photography a ground-up green business, but I'm working on it!
