My aim is to bring the highest quality goods from happy workers to delight discerning shoppers here.
I stock a variety of kinds of jewellery, all hand-made - silver, coconut and Indian tribal jewellery too. I also have a range of bright colourful clothing both for summer and for winter, and strong canvas bags in bright beautiful colours.
As I am the sole importer for some of my suppliers, my goods are certainly unusual and some are unique in this country. New products are being added constantly.
Ethical and Environmental Policy
I source my goods only from suppliers who are either IFAT members or whom I have personally checked out. The non-IFAT members are all small NGO's working for the benefit of their communities and members. They are - Tibet Children's Village, SRUTI ( Society for Rural, Urban and Tribal Initiative) in Delhi, funding their regeneration work with the bags, the Hope Project in Delhi doing amazing work in education and health in Nizamuddhin Basti, a poor slum in Delhi, Dandelion Clothing Company who import from Nepal, a small family business that ensures good working conditions and pay for its workers. YMCA in Chiang Mai which works with small tribal people producer groups to help them attain a decent standard of living. I also buy from Sasha in Calcutta and Thaicraft in Bangkok. Both are IFAT members.
