Just Drinking Water was founded to challenge the plethora of poor quality (predominantly plastic) bottled waters in the world. Our company name represents our approach to life; including the fair distribution of any profits we make with those least able to help themselves.
Aquapax is incredibly pure natural mineral water, low in minerals and particularly low in nitrates; this makes Aquapax suitable for all including babies.
Aquapax is the first mineral water packaged in majority renewable 72% paper cartons. In a full life cycle analysis, cartons are the most ecologically sustainable liquid package available & re-usable too. NB. There is nothing wrong wqith tap water, so please re-use your empty Aquapax cartons.

Ethical Policy
From our initial company name registration to our very reason for existing, Just Drinking Water has been about doing the right thing in the right way. My passion for the environment has led us on this journey thus far where my genuine distraction with plastic bottle pollution in particular (and disenchantment with corporate life) became too great to ignore. Please read my blog http://aquapax.wordpress.com/ and visit our website to find out more. http://www.aquapax.co.uk We believe we can change the status quo by introducing a more sustainable (very pure) packaged water into the market, gradually leading people to become aware of the horrific ecological price we pay for portable water and one day making traditional bottled water socially unacceptable. I resigned a well remunerated directorship with a large safe employer to launch this business and have risked everything to make this vision real. Our principal supplier (TetraPak) is carbon neutral and has been since 2003 - before the term became fashionable. We have worked with them to develop a pragmatic recycling scheme which is cost neutral for councils who sign up to this. Currently c.90% of the UK have carton recycling access (FACT). We have not yet found a carbon balanced distribution partner, but we will. Our longer term (confidential) plans are ambitious and we believe ethical junction members will benefit from this. The ultimate business model we favour is a 49% workers co-operative, where our 51% stake will ensure our ethical commitment cannot be overturned. We understand this will depend on securing investment and proving our initial business model is ecologically and economically sustainable. Our current business model is to outsource wherever possible to like minded independent entities. NB. We have not yet achieved the sustainable business (profit) objective - but we know that one large distribution deal will secure our future.
