Low Carbon Trust
The Low Carbon Trust was formed in 2001 to highlight the connection between buildings, the carbon emissions they produce and climate change by innovative construction projects and communications work.
Earthship Brighton was the Low Carbon Trust's first project and is the first Earthship to be built in England. The project was built as a sustainable community centre for Stanmer Organics, built on Soil Association accredited land in Brighton.
We provide tours of Earthship Brighton and training in sustainable low carbon living. Please see our website for uptodate information.

Ethical and Environmental Policy
The Low Carbon Trusts core mission is the promotion of low carbon buildings, policies and livelihoods in the face of climate change. Low Carbon refers to low overall emissions of carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas.The LCT recognise global climate change as the major environmental challenge. We also recognise the importance of managing carbon dioxide so as to obtain a powerful handle on sustainability and global inequity.
The LCT is committed to a programme of action to make this policy fully effective and will constantly monitor, assess and review the procedures, practices and guidelines that underpin it.
We also have an Equal Opportunities Statement
