Ethical and Environmental Policy
Our products:
We only stock products (be they toiletries, textiles, chocolate or candles) that are free of suspect chemicals. None of the toiletries contain parabens, petrochemicals, SLS or artificial fragrances or colours.
Textiles (such as baby clothes or cot bedding) are either organic cotton, or made from natural and sustainable fabrics such as soy, hemp or bamboo. Where dyes are used, they are environmentally responsible. Candles are made from pure soy wax, with unbleached cotton wicks and pure essential oils.
Our suppliers:
Our suppliers include Earth Mama Angel Baby, Piccalilly, Organics for Kids, Timothy Han, Montezuma, Vital Touch and Enamore.
All our suppliers have carefully audited their supply chains to include only the highest quality and most natural raw materials.
All have strong ethical stances on the environmental impact of their businesses and the welfare of all those involved in their supply chain. Our textiles suppliers who have production arms overseas all operate under, or aim to exceed, fair trade standards. Those operating in the UK are proud to be reinvigorating local manufacturing or traditional crafts.
Our environmental policy:
Giftware presents a challenge because presentation is a critical part of the gift-giving experience. All our gifts are presented in stylish boxes made from 100% recycled board. The boxes can be recycled, but we hope most will be reused. Our mailing boxes are cardboard, and (when it's required) we use biodegradable void fill.
