Our mission is to develop and maintain trading partnerships with small, like -minded businesses all over the world. All of our products are handmade using sustainable materials. It is not just about avoiding plastic, factories and all of that stuff, but about positively creating a new kind of trade and keeping skills and techniques alive - because we are going to need them!!

The long term aim of Monkey-drum and Rainstick Trading (KINDLY NOTE THAT WE ARE ONE AND THE SAME) is to develop a business that is sustainable, fair, interesting and independent in its thinking, actions and its finances. We are about empowering individuals and small groups rather both in the UK and abroad, plowing the lonely furrow rather than unthinkingly and maybe damagingly copying what everybody else does. And we think that this is a positive way to negotiate the challenges that lie ahead.
