Mossberry brings the personal touch to the world of ethical retail. Its main goal is to bring customers chic, original and high quality Fair Trade and Organic Cotton garments, while keeping the boutique experience alive.
This is not a faceless, corporate-looking store, We'll be sharing our style, travel diaries and the stories of the people behind the labels in an online blog. The first collections on the new website, for women and children, come from ethical pioneers - Anokhi in India and French organic labels, Ideo and Le Queue du Chat.
Mossberry also stocks soft furnishings, gifts and jewellery. All goods are hand-made to Fairtrade standards.
Ethical Policy
Environmental concern: all our packaging is either recycled (sending to customers the same packaging we received from suppliers), recyclable (paper instead of plastic) or biodegradable (eco poly bags for shipping). Items coming from India are shipped by sea, we have no control over our French suppliers who use air but we are working on it! We run the business from our unit in Dronfield, Derbyshire and apply the same energy saving principles as the average green household. Most cotton garments we stock are organic. Trading practices: we only buy from recognized fair trade suppliers and manufacturers. The business is run with the uppermost care and respect for the local and global community, We have been a long term supporter of Amnesty International and do not believe in exploitative practices.
