Natracare was recently approved by the Vegetarian Society, won the prestigious Ethical Business of the Year in 2008 at Triodos Bank’s Women in Ethical Business Awards, holds the Ethical Award from the Ethical Company Organisation and is also the first and only feminine hygiene brand worldwide to be granted an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which objectively assesses a company’s environmental impact including carbon emissions which Natracare is offsetting in co-operation with the Woodland Trust.

Ethical and Environmental Policy
Please see attached Bodywise (UK) Ltd Environmental Policy.
In addition, we only use natural, sustainable, and where possible organic materials and hold relevent certification for all. For example all tampons are certified organic by the Soil Association, all cotton (as a raw material) is certified organic by ICEA, the cellulose used in pads and liners is FSC / Soil Association certifed, and even our biofilm is certified that it is biodegradable and GMO free by relevant bodies.
All our suppliers are from the EU, so good working conditions and pay in accordance with EU law is followed by all factories. Several factories we work with have implemented renewable energy systems.
Natracare is an ISO13485 certified company, which means our tampons are manufactured according to strict regulations governing medical devices.
As mentioned above, Natracare has achieved an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which objectively, accurately and scientifically measures a product's environmental impact from raw materials through to disposal. The encouraging results for our pads back up our claims of a low-impact product and have also led to us working with the Woodland Trust on the Carbon Plus programme.
Finally Natracare and our founder Susie Hewson were named Ethical Business 2008 at the recent Triodos Bank Women in Ethical Business Awards.
