Natural Choices Media is an online publisher of news and information concerning all elements of an ethical lifestyle:ethical investments, organic and local produce, green energy and energy efficiency, ethical fashion, responsible travel and tourism, fair trade, health, nutrition and bodycare, campaigns, latest research and reports, as well as green politics. The parent website, www.naturalchoices.co.uk is published twice a week.
We also provide project management services for clients such as the Copenhagen Climate Council, Ethical Economy, and various sustainable events and online websites.
Ethical and Environmental Policy
Natural Choices Media tries to take a 360 decree look at our work and lifestyle. Our offices use low energy/ no lighting, we print as little as possible and then on sustainable/re-cycled paper, all office supplies and equipement are either low energy, sustainable or second hand.
We are a 100% renewable energy powered company, with our own off-grid PV power supply, solar powered hoster thanks to EJ member Athenaeum Limited.
We have a strong commitment to low water use, rain water capturing, with all grey water being recycled on the garden, dry toilets, showers not baths.
We source locally where possible. Mail and paper use is minimal- we are not quite a paperless office but we try. Waste is recycled and composted.
Travel is by train and public transport were possible. We encourage teleworking/homeworking to reduce travel/enhance lifestyle.
Space heating is with wood burning fires with wood sourced from our own forest and responsibly harvested and replanted.
We look at the practises of our suppliers and their ethical commitment forms and important part of our decision making process
We are members of a trade unions, NUJ and CGT, and encourage uco-workers to join.
We are situated on an organic farm, which is where we are if we are not answering the phones.
We take an active role in our local community and providing web training skills to local campaigners.
