Solar Collector systems fully approved to EN / BS 12975, with Solar Keymark Certificate.
All other renewable energy systems, including ground and air source heat pumps, underfloor heating, and wood burning stoves, together with all primary equipment and ancillaries within an installation, are fully approved to the recognised EN / BS Standards.
The company specialises in design, supply and installation for the domestic, commercial and social housing markets, and swimming pool applications.
Ethical Policy
After starting in this business and registering the company in April, 2006, I spent a considerable time researching the market and product availability.
The first key stage was to establish suitable sources of supply - our policy is to use only products which are fully approved to the relevant EU and BS standards.
The next key stage was to install a solar hot water system in my own home. I wanted the system to contribute to space heating as well as being the primary provider of hot water.
A larger capacity solar collector scheme was combined with a thermal store, and although more complex than a normal dual coil cylinder for hot water only, has proved very efficient and effective while providing a worthwhile contribution to heating the house..
I considered it important to gain credibility through practical experience, and installed the system myself to prove the technology and its benefits to my personal satisfaction.
I also considered it important that the installation would act as a demonstration system for potential customers so that they could actually see and examine an operational system up close, while demonstrating my personal commitment to such systems in my own home.
Unfortunately there are a few "cowboys" in this market - I suggest that any seller is questioned about the system they have in their home, and to describe its benefits. This will quickly show up those with only a "double-glazing hard sell" and “foot in the door” approach !!
The company is now in the next stage of developing and implementing its policy >> the provision of products, activities and services across a broad range of renewable energy sources with more affordable pricing and availability for the general public.
