The best quality 100% Organic Cotton is grown in Turkey and woven and dyed in Portugal, with healthy, environmentally friendly Oeko-tex dyes. The cloth is then made into the finished item by a family run manufacturer in Portugal.
Ochre and Ocre work with small manufacturers, where we know the product has been made by people who work in a safe and healthy environment, and are paid a fair wage. Our gift range is sourced in the UK, and all the items are made for Ochre And Ocre by craftspeople and small businesses.
The range has been designed in a harmonising Ochre palette. Ochres are coloured clays, that exist all over the world. Their colours vary considerably depending from where they are mined. The beauty of Ochre colours is that they complement any environment, old or new. Ochre and Ocre, beautifully natural, naturally beautiful.
Ethical Policy
All of our textiles are certified by Controle Union as 100% organic. We have also had every part of the chain certified by Oeko-tex, which ensures both the processes and working standards are environmentally and socially responsible. Where organic certification is not relevant e.g with our beeswax candles, we check the source to ensure good practices are maintained.
We use recycled paper for our office stationery, and recycle all packaging that comes into our offices. We try to minimise product packaging on the items we send out.
