What makes us different from all the other natural & organic skincare products you see today?

We are a small, rural business who really care about what we do. As well as our personal approach, with each product made individually for you...

1. If we say it's organic, it contains between 70% and 100% organic ingredients. If it's not organic, it's as natural and active as it possibly can be.

2. OV products contains masses of goodness, from essential fatty acids to vitamins to naturally moisturising oils to therapeutic grade essential oils and loads of therapeutic goodness. Many 'natural' products contain lots of naturally derived ingredients but not much of worth, or only commercial-grade essential oils.

3. When we say no nasties, we mean it. No parabens, SLS/SLES, no DEA MEA TEA, no synthetic fragrance, no synthetic colour, no petroleum derivatives, no lanolin - see our Ingredients page for full information.

4. Essential oils are hand-blended into OV products by our in-house Aromatherapist Lucy Stevens so your products are straight from the expert.

5. OV products are fairly priced which makes them a highly affordable yet top quality product.

6. OV products are aromatherapeutic - like therapy in a bottle - because of their ingredients and the positive nature of their production, hand blended by a professional aromatherapist in Somerset.

7. OV products are safety assessed and lab tested and comply with Cosmetic Regulations, not all small producers follow this necessary legislation for your safety and health.

Ethical and Environmental Policy

The majority of packaging is recycled & reclaimed. For example, we use 80% recycled boxes, 100% recycled & biodegradable wood wool, some recycled tissue paper. We also use reclaimed packaging materials.

Paper for our publicity such as leaflets & in our office is recycled from various sources. For example, we use Evolve paper in our office.

We have chosen bottles and jars that can be easily recycled, we don't use plastic, for example. We use lightweight aluminium, glass & PET - the latter is used to make polar fleece material, for example. All can be recycled easily at local authority recycling centres.

Because we use as much natural goodness as possible in our products, we don't tax the earth with harsh chemicals. For example, plant oils and essential oils are naturally biodegradable.

We use local, West Country suppliers where it is possible to do so.

We strongly support our local village Post Office in Shepton Beauchamp, which is a fantastic community resource. We always use our local Post Office to mail your products and because we walk there, our carbon footprint is reduced!
