Planet Trash Limited
Planet Trash was established in March 2007 out of a desire to make a positive contribution to the planet's environment. Planet Trash only offers products made from recycled materials. Our range may also have the benefit of being ethically produced and fairly traded, but if it's not made from recycled materials, it doesn't get into our shop!
One of our mottos is “opening people's eyes to the beauty reborn from the planet”, and thus we strive to bring our customers beautiful products that fit comfortably into their homes without the need to compromise on quality just because its made from recycled materials.
Memorably packaged, we also aim to deliver the products our customers purchase to a high standard with the minimum impact on the environment.
Finally we seek to spread the “buy recycled” and “recycling” message at all times and in everything we do. We know that we can't and won't change people's attitudes and behaviours overnight, but hope that Planet Trash will provide some degree of leadership on environmental issues within the retail sector.
Through Planet Trash we hope we have given you the opportunity to “be the change you want to see in the world”!

Protect The Planet
Be the change you want to see in the world, that's our company ethos. Inspired by the need to protect our environment for future generations, we believe that by offering our customers the choice to purchase gifts and products made from recycled materials, we also offer them the choice to help Protect The Planet.
To enable this we promote the use of recycled products and resources wherever possible. We only stock products whose content is made wholly or partially out of recycled materials (and only partially, because this is better than nothing at all!).
We aim to bring you the recycled products you have purchased in the most environmentally sustainable way, with waste and packaging reduced to a minimum. We aim to promote recycling in everything we do and have made a pledge to be carbon beneficial by 2010.
We always listen to our customers and work with selected environmental charities with the aim of providing leadership in recycled products. We are committed to being an environmentally responsible retailer.
Support Local Communities
We believe we have an important role to play in supporting local communities both within the UK and throughout the world.
Wherever possible we prefer to source our high quality recycled products from small community groups and cooperatives. This means that not only are we benefiting the environment through the re-use of waste materials, but we are also supporting people right at the heart of their local communities.
In satisfying our customers demand for recycled gifts and products, we are also ensuring the sustainability of local communities.
In the future we will aim to work as closely as possible with local community groups, so achieving the maximum benefit of our trading relationship with that individual community. We also work with designers of innovative recycled products, aiming to provide a platform and showcase for their work. We strive to be an ethical retailer of choice.
Put a Stop to Poverty
Although we cannot directly influence these issues, here at Planet Trash we are trying to do our bit. We source our products responsibly with the aim that it has a positive impact on the lives of the workers making the product. In the future we will continue to work with our suppliers to ensure that we are ‘putting a stop to poverty’ wherever possible.
Conserve Natural Resources
The consumer led society has pushed the planet’s precious resources to the limit. If every country consumed natural resources at the rate the UK does, we would need three planets to live on. However, we only have one, and therefore conserving natural resources is at the heart of what we want to achieve. By bringing recycled products and gifts to the marketplace, we are offering our customers the choice to purchase responsibly without having an impact on our natural resources. We aim to offer recycled products and gifts that use the fewest natural resources without compromising on the style and quality of their look. We strive to show that beautiful, inspiring products need not cost the earth, and in doing so, open people’s eyes to the beauty that can be reborn from the planet.
