ReVampt designs and manufactures desirable products from the textile waste of businesses and individuals. This waste can consist of: the remaining fabric after clothes, curtains, furniture covers have been cut; end-of-line lengths or clothing; sample pieces of fabric; unused or sample accessories needed for fashion; samples used for testing only and individuals personal collection and unwanted clothing. We revamp it into new product for the soft furnishings /gifts and home-wares market.
We recognize that as well as making you feel good our product needs to look good, each item is unique as the quantity of each fabric and accessories can be small. Our product design is strong and we are always thinking up new ways of using textile waste.
Ethical Policy
Since July 2007 we have diverted three tons of textile waste from going to landfil. This is at the heart of what we do.
We work with companies who would pay for their waste to be collected and sent to landfil. We help them become more environmentally friendly by offering a free collection service of their waste which we sort and store, recycling it to charity shops and schools if we cannot use it.
Through our design we encourage people to think about what can be done with unwanted textiles. We run free workshops within schools helping to get this message across. We offer a bespoke service for individuals who want to recycle their collected textiles into new items ie Grandma's embroidered table cloths become cushions or patchwork throws.
All our products are hand made in the UK and we aim to collect textile waste from companies local to West London to keep down our carbon footprint.
Where we stock other makers goods we ensure they are made in the UK, environmentally friendly and fit within our ethos of supporting cottage industries. The retailers we sell to must fit within our green ethos too.
