Ethical and Environmental Policy

SCIP has been part of the community sector in Sussex for ten years, providing advice and support to help charities and community organisations get the most from computers and the internet. We have grown from a small network of volunteers into a ten strong team that provides high quality services at affordable, sustainable rates.

We have a long track record of working on community projects. We worked with Big Issue in Brighton for five years, creating and supporting a drop IT facility for vendors; built a not for profit search engine for Brighton in partnership with seven other public and private companies and have delivered free training to over 500 people from community and voluntary organisations.

We have offices in Brighton and Hastings and can deliver remote services as well as onsite support.

We can provide advice and support on Green Computing, ensuring that your IT solutions don't cost the earth. We provide reports on the best options for reuse, repair and recycling to get the most from existing equipment and also keep track of the ethical and environmental policies of the main hardware suppliers when sourcing new equipment.
