Ethical Policy

Sheep Wool Insulation Ltd. is a business created to supply quality energy saving thermal and acoustic insulation products made from pure new sheep's wool. This business has grown out of our desire to find alternative uses for sheep's wool, which for farmers has rapidly become a loss making agricultural product. Wool is an incredible fibre. It is extremely effective as an insulator, annually renewable, sustainable and ultimately biodegradable. We continuously try to improve all aspects of our product, distribution and management to complement the natural raw-material. - Our products are inherently environmentally friendly as they are made from natural materials and are designed to save energy. - We have recently launched a new Comfort Product range, which uses less wool to achieve a similar thermal performance. - We are currently in trials to change product packaging to organic based biodegradable plastics. - Our products are compressed up to 3:1 during transport to minimise embodied energy. - We take back all unused product (at full price) and reuse all returned packaging and reprocess all used/offcut insulation. - We publish all our material electronically to minimise paper waste. All paper & card used in our office is 100% recycled paper waste and is recycled after its useful life.
