Ethical and Environmental Policy
Think Boutique strive to retail fashion that has the highest possible social and environmental credentials. We source products that are from Fair Trade, organic, sustainable, up-cycled or locally produced sources or at best a combination of several of these factors. All of our inks are water based and our paper and packaging is from recycled sources and is fully recyclable. Our mailing bags have 90% recycled content and are fully degradable.No doubt it is a tricky one to strike a balance between fashion’s ever changing trends and promotion of consumption with ethical practices and it often comes down to individual interpretation. Yet as a business how do we balance need with desire, how do we reduce consumption but satisfy want?
One Home - We really understand the need to take time, to do things right and to get the most from something. All of our garments are high quality and will last for many seasons, so they can be loved until they have given their all and then be recycled.
Second Life - Alternatively, as each season goes by we would urge you to search your wardrobe, once you have had enjoyment from a piece could you consider passing it on while it retains more value? A charity could then significantly increase the quality of product in their retail outlets or even increase the popularity of fundraising swap-shops/ swishing events. The ethical garment could fulfill its potential for bettering peoples lives. Producers receive more revenue, the ethical industry is encouraged to grow, charities can further their works and the fashionable can be on trend.
