THTC

Established in 1999, born out of a hemp awareness university society, THTC is an urban street-wear company specialising in hemp clothing, though we also use bamboo and organic cotton in some of our range.

The range consists on screen printed t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, sweaters, reversible caps and reversible belts.

All fliers, swing tickets and catalogues are printed on recycled paper wherever possible, and screen printing processes are mostly water-based, often printed at T-shirt and Sons with certified soil association inks.

The t-shirt ranges are designed by some of Europe's top graffiti artists, often focusing on politically sensitive topics and irresponsible big business and also inspired by urban music, street art and nature.

The hemp fabric is sourced from hundreds of family farms from Eastern China and the organic cotton is sourced from Turkey. All garments are constructed in audited factories in China. THTC is accredited by See Companies (www.SEEcompanies.com).

The range is stocked in over 60 stores around the UK, Europe, Australia, Japan and the US, details for which can be found on the THTC website.

To compliment the range THTC has collaborated with many urban music labels, charities, fashion brands and magazines including Maharishi, The Ecologist Magazine, Morcheeba, The Burma Campaign, Trojan Soundsystem and Zulu Nation UK.

THTC has been nominated in both the Observer Ethical Awards and the Re:Fashion awards and CEO Gav Lawson was listed in the Future 100 Social entrepreneurs in 2008.
